3-ingredient Chocolate Protein Pancakes & Chocolate-Banana-Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie

How about some chocolate overload for breakfast? These are the “good” kind of chocolates and are protein-packed. It’s choco-banana-peanut butter protein smoothie and banana-egg-choco protein pancakes!

Why does CHOCOLATE make us feel happy? Well there are lots of studies out there showing that they release endorphins in our brain which can reduce levels of pain & suffering. Yes chocolates can be very therapeutic but only when taken in moderation. It is also a health culprit when consumed excessively.

My little boy loves chocolates so I’m constantly trying to find ways to make him consume it without too much artificial sugars in it.

3-ingredient Chocolate protein pancakes

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

1 ripe banana
2 eggs beaten
1 scoop protein powder in chocolate
*1/8 tsp baking powder (optional – if you want it fluffier)
coconut oil for cooking

METHOD:

Mix everything well in a bowl. Heat about ½ tsp coconut oil in a non-stick pan. Scoop about 3 tbsps of the batter into the pan. Cook for 1 minute or so and flip. Use a thin spatula for ease in flipping.

 

Choco-banana-peanut butter smoothie

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

1 frozen or fresh banana
3 scoops protein powder in chocolate ( I use Nutrimeal Dutch Chocolate)
1 tsp peanut butter
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
350 ml almond milk or skim milk
4-5 ice cubes

METHOD:

Blend everything on high speed. Top with more bananas and melted peanut butter. Enjoy!
