Peach-Carrot Cake Smoothie

If you know me too well, you will realize that I’m a smoothie kinda’ gal. I start my morning everyday with a nutrient-dense smoothie for two reasons. First because it’s quick and easy which is a total time-saver for a busy mom like you and me. Second, having liquid meals at the start of the day is much gentler to our gut so blending my veggies and superfoods into one glass is the perfect way to get all the nutrients without the bloating.

It’s the first time for me to make this PEACH-CARROT CAKE SMOOTHIE combo and I’m biting myself for not having made this sooner! Yes, it’s that good! 

3 THINGS THAT YOU’LL LOVE ABOUT THIS SMOOTHIE:

CARROTS – good source of beta-carotene, fiber, vitamin K, potassium and antioxidants. They are weight loss friendly food, can help lower cholesterol levels and improved eye health.

PEACHES – known skin food which is rich in dietary fiber, vitamins A, C, E, and can help reduce wrinkles, improve overall skin texture.

CINNAMON – apart from its divine fragrance and taste, this delicious spice is known to be highly anti-inflammatory and can help reduce blood sugar levels and reduce risk of heart diseases.

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup nut milk
1 frozen banana
1 medium carrot, grated
1 ripe yellow peach, sliced
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Ice
OPTIONAL
1 serving of vanilla protein powder

METHOD:

Blend all the ingredients in a high-speed blender.  Top with grated carrots and cinnamon. Enjoy.
